What are you talking about Ern?
There being queues is not exciting news to me as I've been saying all along there would be. As usual I was right. Funny that.

Why would they want you to get away quickly? The longer you stay the more chance you are going to use their bars, coffee shops etc.

Don't apply reasoned logic Simon, not allowed when trying to pretend the OS won't suffer from the same issues everywhere else does.

If they're forcing people to go out via a certain route for a concert, they're not going to let a load of football fans from opposing teams go where they want.

I also have a letter from the LLDC under FOI which says the park will be accessible via carpenters road for games (did that to make sure could get to/ from stadium via stratford pubs. Perhaps I'll send another off about access to pudding mill, as I intend to be coming in and out that way too.

Re: AC/DC tomorrow

If they did that it's in contravention to the planning permission. It clearly states in the event travel plan that crowds would be encouraged to use stratford, but that pudding mill would remain in operation and public highways open. unless they have express granting to make road closures they're acting outside of the law.

A mate managed to blag in for £20, not exactly security conscious at the OS!

Some will have to tell the stewards if that is case, we had problems at the rugby and last years anniversary games
The road to PML DLR was blocked off with barriers and access to Carpenters was denied by stewards
Can they call the police to nick you if you ignore there advice which will be based on H&S etc !!

Re: AC/DC tomorrow

I was there Saturday and the band were excellent. Axl Rose has taken 20 years off of them and I’m glad I didn’t back my tickets which I was going to do. The stewards inside the ground were shocking, at the end of the gig there was a crush developing as people on the pitch could see others exiting up a gangway but you couldn’t get from the pitch into the stand as the gap had been blocked off. People were basically all pushing towards a wall but I’d managed to jump over and point out what was happening. Not one of them knew what to do and didn’t know how to get a supervisor. Ended up finding one myself but she was equally useless.
I didn’t think getting out was that bad. We had to walk round to the right of the Orbit thing but then joined back up on the main walkway into westfield, it was bit slow but you were always moving then it was straight onto the platform and waited 5 mins for a c2c to Upminster, no hassle at all really. I heard there was 70K people there so all considered it wasn’t that bad and I’m sure it will get better.
Anyone else buy one of them Claret and Blue AC/DC shirts and slightly regret it in the morning?

Getting away from any venue with that amount of people is a nightmare.

Quite Joe, anyone sane knows this, a suspension of reality clause always kicks in when talking about the OS for some reason though.
People are in for a shock if they think they can breeze in and out in better time than at Upton Park.

Not sure what 'they' can sort out though as it's always a nightmare getting out of any big stadium - Wembley, Old Trafford and Twickenham immediately spring to mind based on my last few visits.

Just a reminder that the stewards can't stop you from going wherever you like. They're told to tell people that pudding mill is shut, which is a lie, they'll probably also try to stop people gong into the carpenters estate. Just ignore them and go where you like. They have no power whatsoever to impede you.

Great gig, the stadium looked great. I walked towards Stratford International then Westfield to Stratford for the Central Line no problems at all.

Pretty much every major event they've had there has ended with queues getting out.
I don't why people are still expecting/hoping it'll be different when we play there. It is what it is surely, they've had enough chance to do something different by know.
The 11 minute PCB will be furious.
